​Lacey High School Student Wins Prizes In NJ Natural Gas Contest

Autumn Mangan produced a winning video that has also been entered into the "Viewer's Choice Award" contest. There's still time to vote.

LACEY, NJ — A Lacey Township High School student won cash prizes for a video she produced in the New Jersey Natural Gas’ 10th annual “Conserve to Preserve” contest.

Autumn Mangan, a ninth grade student, won alongside three other students in the statewide contest.

Mangan's video focused on the importance of taking small steps to save energy in the long run, such as installing energy efficient appliances and powering down unnecessary energy sources.

She won $500 for her video submission and $1,000 to contribute toward a future energy project at Lacey Township High School.

“All of the administrators and staff at Lacey Township High School are extremely proud of 9th grader Autumn Mangan for winning,” said Principal Gregory Brandis.

Mangan’s winning video has also been entered into the "Viewer’s Choice Award" contest and there’s still time to vote. The student video that receives the most votes will win an additional $500 prize.

“We encourage school community members and Lacey citizens to further support Autumn’s initiatives by voting for her video,” Brandis said.

Votes can be cast here until March 2 at 11:59 p.m.
