Lacey Man Found Asleep Behind Wheel, Charged With DWI: Police
A Lacey man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he was found asleep behind the wheel in Lacey on Sunday, police said.

LACEY, NJ — A Lacey man was charged with driving while intoxicated after he was found asleep behind the wheel in Lacey on Sunday, police said.
Lacey police responded to Route 9 and Lacey Road just before 6 p.m. for a report of a car that would not move from the intersection.
Officers found Joseph Sinopoli, 28, asleep in the driver’s seat and Alysha Manhat, 31, asleep in the passenger seat. Sinopoli and Manhat both appeared under the influence after they woke up, police said.

Police searched the car, locating 165 bags containing heroin, 20 syringes and over $500 cash.
Sinopoli and Manhat were arrested and charged with possession of heroin, intent to distribute heroin, possession of a hypodermic syringe and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sinopoli was also charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving.
Both were lodged in the Ocean County Correctional Facility in accordance with bail reform.
