Lacey Park Accepting Recycled Christmas Trees
Here's where you can drop off your Christmas tree around Ocean County through Jan. 31.

LACEY, NJ — From your living room to an Ocean County park. Local parks, including one in Lacey, are accepting Christmas tree donations through Jan. 31.
The Ocean County Parks Department collected almost 1,400 trees last year that were turned into wood chips and used for landscaping. In the past, recycled trees have helped towns replenish their beach dunes.
Enos Pond County Park (330 East Lacey Rd., Forked River) will accept donations. You can also donate to the following parks:

- A. Paul King County Park, 2 W. Bay Avenue, Stafford Township
- Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis, 261 Country Club Boulevard, Little Egg Harbor Township
- Ocean County Golf Course at Forge Pond, 301 Chambers Bridge Avenue, Brick Township
The Northern and Southern Recycling Centers also accept Christmas trees year-round during regular business hours (7:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday). The southern center is located at 379 Haywood Rd., Manahawkin. The northern location is at 601 New Hampshire Rd., Lakewood.
Island Beach State Park will accept tree donations from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Jan. 4. The park will use the trees for its dune system. Read more: Island Beach State Park Accepting Christmas Trees To Build Dunes
