Lacey Road Side Streets To Be Blocked For Memorial Day Parade

The parade will start at 10 a.m. and end with a service at Bicentennial Park at noon, police chief says

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Motorists who do not plan to attend the Memorial Day parade festivities next Monday will need to find an alternate route around Lacey Road for several hours, Police Chief Michael C. DiBella said.

Side streets to Lacey Road will be barricaded at 9:45 a.m. for the parade, which starts at 10 a.m. on May 28. It begins from just west of the Forked River Elementary School to three blocks west of Town Hall at Newark Avenue. Ceremonies will end after a memorial service at Bicentennial Park in front of the police department, the chief said.

Lacey Road will be blocked between Manchester Avenue and Newark Avenue until approximately noon for the memorial service, DiBella said.
