Lacey’s Popcorn Park Shelter Needs New Volunteers
The Popcorn Park Shelter in Lacey is seeking adult volunteers to walk dogs and spend time with cats in their facility.
LACEY, NJ — The Popcorn Park Shelter in Lacey is reopening their volunteer program after the coronavirus pandemic put it on pause last year.
The shelter is seeking adult volunteers who are 18 and older to walk dogs and spend time with cats in their facility.
Volunteers must attend an orientation and training period to learn about the facility, rules and safety practices involved.

“If you have a love of animals and want to make a difference in a shelter pet's life, we hope you'll join us,” the shelter wrote on Facebook.
Anyone who can commit to at least one day per week can pick up an application at Popcorn Park’s facility at 1 Humane Way in Forked River or send an email to njhumane2@aol.com for an application.
