Lacey Schools Announce Schedule For Inclement Weather

Superintendent Vanessa P. Clark announced in-person instruction will be replaced with remote learning on days with inclement weather.

LACEY, NJ — Ahead of the nor’easter forecasted to bring heavy rain and strong winds to Lacey on Wednesday, Lacey Township Schools Superintendent Vanessa P. Clark announced in-person instruction will be replaced with remote learning on days with inclement weather throughout the school year.

Clark said school assignments must be completed at home on inclement weather days. Virtual instruction sessions that introduce new material will not take place to account for potential power and internet outages, though teachers may use virtual sessions to review previously taught material or answer questions if connectivity permits.

“While we all love a good ‘snow day,’ shifting to remote learning not only provides students with continuity of learning, but will preserve the remainder of the school calendar as planned,” Clark wrote in a letter to parents Wednesday.
