The Popcorn Park shelter seeks temporary homes for cats to alleviate the staff workload.

LACEY, NJ — The Associated Humane Popcorn Park Shelter is seeking temporary foster homes for some cats during the novel-coronavirus outbreak. The shelter would like to alleviate some of the staff's workload during the pandemic.
The Popcorn Park shelter will take the cats back once the pandemic ends, unless any of the owners want to permanently adopt them.

The cats in need of foster homes don't live in the shelter's free-roaming areas for one of the following reasons:
- they don't get along with other cats
- they have the feline immunodeficiency virus
- they are shy, and cat caretakers are working individually with them
Fosters should have a room in their home where they can separate cats from other pets. People will undergo the same screening process that adopters normally go through. Popcorn Park will provide food and litter if needed.
