Lacey Vigil To Honor 3 Dogs Left To Die

The vigil comes a few days after a woman was charged with three counts of animal cruelty, according to authorities.

LACEY, NJ — A vigil will take place for three dogs found dead and abandoned in Lacey. The memorial takes place at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Gille Park.

The event comes days after a woman was charged in connection with their deaths. Allissa DeStefano was charged with three counts of animal cruelty, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced Thursday. DeStefano, who now lives in Toms River, was responsible for the dogs and abandoned them, the OCPO said.
