Lacey's Lakeside Diner Cited Again For Indoor Dining: State PD
The State Police superintendent announced the citation Monday during the state coronavirus briefing.

LACEY, NJ — The owner of the Lakeside Diner was cited again for allowing indoor dining in violation of Governor Phil Murphy's coronavirus orders, according to state officials.
State Police Superintendent Col. Pat Callahan announced the citation Monday during the state's coronavirus news conference. Lacey police issued the citation Aug. 8, and the owner confirmed they were offering dine-in services. It was not immediately clear whether Callahan was referencing this specific instance.

The Lakeside Diner has defied state orders during the pandemic, offering limited indoor dining to stay in business. The restaurant keeps tables spaced out, takes temperatures and wear masks and gloves, owner Brian Brindisi told Patch.
The diner has received local praise from returning customers but has frustrated state officials, who have prohibited indoor dining since mid-March.
