Lemonade Stand In Lacey Returns To Benefit Veterans

LACEY, NJ — Nick DeBenedetto set up another lemonade stand on Monday with proceeds going to Vetwork, a Lacey-based nonprofit that helps veterans.
DeBenedetto, 12, of Lacey organized the lemonade stand in celebration of Memorial Day. The stand raised a total of $350.
With lemons and sugar donated from the Lidl store in Lacey, DeBenedetto made and served lemonade in exchange for a donation to Vetwork.

The Lacey-based nonprofit provides supportive services to assist veterans in securing jobs, affordable housing and transportation for medical or basic-needs services.
DeBenedetto was also recognized on Thursday night alongside two other young Lacey residents for organizing a lemonade stand last month that raised $1,170 for first responders in town.

All of the money raised at that lemonade stand was donated to the Lacey Township Underwater Rescue & Recovery Team, the Lanoka Harbor Fire Department and the Lanoka Harbor EMS.
