Lemonade Stand Raises Over $1K For Lacey EMS, Fire Department
An old fashioned lemonade stand, organized by 12-year-old Nick DeBenedetto, raised $1,170 for first responders in Lacey over the weekend.
LACEY, NJ — A young Lacey resident raised over $1,000 for first responders in Lacey by setting up a lemonade stand in his front yard.
Nick DeBenedetto, 12, served lemonade on Wednesday and Sunday in exchange for donations to the Lacey Township Underwater Rescue & Recovery Team, the Lanoka Harbor Fire Department and the Lanoka Harbor EMS.
With help from his friend Daniel Toner and his cousin Olivia Tramontano, and support from the community, the lemonade stand raised $1,170.

“I am impressed by how generous our community is and am thankful that my son had this idea of helping our volunteer first responders,” his mother Silvania DeBenedetto told Patch.
The grand total will be divided into $390 for each organization.

DeBenedetto and Toner presented their donation to the Lanoka Harbor Fire Department on Monday night.
As a thank you, Lanoka Harbor firefighters gave them a tour around the fire department and a seat in the fire truck.
