Oyster Creek License Transfer Open To Public Hearing
People have until November 8 to request a public hearing regarding the Oyster Creek transfer to Holtec.

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - The Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant is going to be transferring it's license to Holtec, but the public can request a hearing before November 8, according to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
If the public decides that they want a hearing about the license transfer, the time is now. In addition, public comments are being accepted about the license transfer until November 19.
Holtec's plan for the Oyster Creek Nuclear Power Plant is to decommission it quickly and maintain any spent fuel on site, according to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission is still reviewing Holtec to make sure that they have the money and technical skills to perform that, and keep with the safety regulations of the plant.
