PHOTO GALLERY: Ocean County Fair Opens To Light Crowds On Stormy Night
The first 90 minutes Wednesday night were disrupted by thunderstorms, but families came out after the rain stopped.
For 90 minutes or so Wednesday night, it poured. Thunderstorms kept residents indoors.
Once it cleared, however, the Ocean County Fair got underway, with goats and chickens, a dog show and more.
Crowds were light as a result of the storm, and some tiptoed around the large puddles (others, mostly of the younger ages, sloshed through them) but ”better opening night than this weekend,” said one of the fair organizers. Forecasts for the weekend are for mostly clear skies.
