Popcorn Park Needs Donations For 'Step Into Spring' Fundraiser

Gently used items accepted, but there are exceptions. All proceeds go to the animals.

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Do you have some "gently used" or even new items lying around the house that you don't need anymore?

Please consider donating them to the Associated Humane Societies Popcorn Park Shelter for their upcoming fundraiser on Saturday, May 19. The rain date is May 20.

"We are currently accepting donations of good, clean items for our flea market," according to a post on the shelter's Facebook page. "We are currently accepting donations of good, clean items for our flea market. Please keep in mind that if you think it's garbage, then it most likely is."

The shelter is looking for donations of household items, home decor, tools, toys and small appliances. The shelter does NOT need books, clothing, stuffed animals, VHS tapes, CDs, or furniture.

Donations can be dropped off on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on weekends from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The event also includes a bake sale and will showcase animals available for adoptions. All of the proceeds from the event go directly to the care of hundreds of animals at the shelter.
