Popcorn Park Shelter Seeks Blanket Donations For Animals
The Popcorn Park Shelter in Lacey is collecting used, clean blankets without zippers, rips or cords for their animals to lay on.
LACEY, NJ — Though temperatures are rising this week, the Popcorn Park Shelter in Lacey still has a need for soft blankets.
Every animal taken into the shelter receives a blanket to lounge on during their stay.
“Blankets aren't just for warmth ya know,” the shelter wrote on Facebook. “What really brings them comfort is the softness and security of a blanket. Whether rolled up in a blanket or sprawled out on one, everyone gets a blanket when they're with us, and you wouldn't believe how many we go through. We always need them!”

Even in the winter months since the shelters’ floors are heated, the blankets go beyond providing warmth and offer comfort to each animal.
Used, clean blankets that are free of zippers, rips or cords can be dropped off anytime at 1 Humane Way in Forked River.
