The Forked River Old Schoolhouse Museum is a jewel in our Community, one of our oldest preserved buildings. The Historical Society is reaching out to the Community for new members and volunteers with any time to spear. All are welcome, seniors or students! Have some fun. No experience is necessary.
The Historical Society’s objectives are to maintain the Old Schoolhouse museum, preserve artifacts from our past and provide an annual high school scholarship. To fulfill our commitments we plan and execute fundraisers. Currently the Society is planning many special events for 2019 from a Victorian Tea Party to Flea Markets, Apple Feast activities, fun paranormal programs, to Children’s Halloween Scary night programs and much more. Complimentary family Community service programs are also provided.
Without dedicated and interested members as well as volunteers, the preservation of our town’s history will be a memory of the past. We have many more ideas for future public events but need your help. Any time you can spare is very much appreciated.
