Visitors can bring coolers and food to the camping area. No campfires, propane, kerosene or lanterns are permitted on the beach. But the borough will build a bonfire. No alcohol or glass bottles are permitted.

No swimming is allowed during the night and no lifeguards will be on duty. The borough will impose ”quiet hours” from midnight to 7 a.m. each night. No amplified sound is permitted in the camping area.

Seaside Heights police will patrol the camping area between dusk and dawn. Visitors will receive registration numbers that must be secured to outside of their tents.

“If the number is not visible, you will be asked to pack up and leave the camping area,” the website states.

Bathroom facilities will be open overnight. There is also a privately managed shower concession on Webster Avenue that will be open.

Visitors are expected to bring their own camping gear and must unload their vehicles at the Hiering Avenue beach entrances.

If lightning occurs during the night, the beaches will be cleared until it is safe to allow visitors to return. Campers must clear the beach no later than 10 a.m.
