Sweet Deaf Dog At Popcorn Park Needs A Loving Home
Owners gave her up after five years because they were moving and expecting a child

LACEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Elsa lived in the only home she had ever known for five years, up until a few days ago. That's when her owners turned her into the Associated Humane Popcorn Park Shelter because they were moving and had a baby on the way.
It's tough enough for any dog to lose their longtime home. It's even tougher for a pup that's deaf.
Elsa lived in her previous home from the time she was a puppy. And she's having a tough time adjusting to life in a shelter, according to the shelter's Facebook page.

"Having been in a home since she was 4 weeks old, and now being turned in at 5 years old, we're sure it's a bit overwhelming for her," the post states. "Add to that the fact that she is completely deaf, and this little lady really has a lot to deal with."
The cocker spaniel/pit bull mix has a sweet disposition, is house-trained, well-behaved and is people- focused.

"Elsa absolutely adores everyone she meets," according to the shelter's website. "Even when she went for vaccines with our vet, she showered the vet with kisses when the exam was all done! She loves people and wants to be with you all the time."
