Woman's Death Near Trail In Waretown 'Suspicious': Prosecutor
The body was found near the Barnegat Branch Trail; authorities are seeking information from anyone who may have seen how she got there.

WARETOWN, NJ — The death of a woman whose body was found near the Barnegat Branch Trail in Waretown has been labeled suspicious, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said Saturday.
The woman's identity has not been released.
Her body was found Friday in a wooded area of the trail near Country Line Road in Waretown, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said. Ocean Township police were notified about 1:30 p.m. Friday about an unresponsive woman near the trail, and found her dead.

"At this point in time, this is considered a suspicious death. More information will be released when it becomes available," Billhimer said.
The Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office Major Crime Unit, Ocean Township Police Department, Ocean County Sheriff’s Office Crime Scene Investigation Unit, and Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating.
