Young Lacey Race Car Driver Earns GEARWRENCH Sponsorship

Matthew Kovacs met with GEARWRENCH in North Carolina this weekend, when he raced at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

LACEY, N.J. — Lacey's Matthew Kovacs is race car driving by storm. The 9-year-old not only raced at the Charlotte Motor Speedway last weekend. He also met with GEARWRENCH.

GEARWRENCH is a tool company and a partner with auto-racing team Chip Ganassi Racing. The business will sponsor one of Kovacs's quarter midget races this year.

Kovacs visited the Chip Ganassi Racing Shop in Concord, N.C. Although their Chevy is a little bigger than the midget car he races, Kovacs got to explore the car and sit at the steering wheel.

Chip Ganassi Racing has sponsored several well-known drivers, including Tony Stewart and Juan Pablo Montoya.

"We'll see you at the All-Star Race in 2029," Kovacs said at the end of the video. GEARWRENCH showed the video to their 266,000 Facebook followers.
