LIVINGSTON, NJ — If you get a “citation” from a Livingston cop that ends with a gift card to repair your car, you can thank Advance Auto Parts.
Last week, the auto parts retailer held a grand opening ribbon cutting for its new location at 437 Mount Pleasant Avenue in Livingston, getting a warm reception from the Livingston Chamber of Commerce.
As part of the celebration, Advance presented a gift card donation of $2,500 to the Livingston Police Department to issue in lieu of an equipment citation, which will hopefully encourage motorists to repair their vehicles, company spokespeople said.
