The Livingston Police Department in Partnership with TransOptions will present a Bike Rodeo as part of Youth Appreciation Week on Saturday, May 25 at Livingston High School from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The rodeo is perfect for children who are just learning to ride or are still new riders, according to the event's organizer. Riders will gain experience riding in simulated traffic conditions and maneuvering around obstacles and obeying signals.

Children with training wheels will learn how to balance, start and stop, and all children will have the chance to participate in slow races.  Course instructors will perform a safety inspection, teach proper riding etiquette, and promote the health benefits of safe cycling.

All cyclists must wear a helmet and bring a bicycle in good working condition. The Oval will be closed, so the entrance to the Bike Rodeo will be on Madonna Drive.

Registration forms for the Bike Rodeo can be found on the Town website www.livingstonnj.org or at the Library, Town Hall or Community Center
