LIVINGSTON, NJ — There may be a statewide “stay at home” order in effect due to the coronavirus crisis, but that doesn’t mean car thieves are listening, Livingston police say.

Earlier this week, the Livingston Police Department posted the following message on social media:

“Just a reminder folks. The car thieves aren’t adhering to the quarantine and staying home. Over the past week we have had two cars stolen and chased two stolen cars out of town. Please lock your cars and take your key fobs inside.”
