WEATHER ALERT: Hour-By-Hour Forecast As New Jersey Braces For Black Ice, Record Lows
Watch for black ice as the NWS estimates wind and temperatures for New Jersey, with the region still dealing with tropical-storm wind gusts

The National Weather Service has issued four weather alerts, saying a harsh arctic outbreak packed with tropical-storm-force gusts will continue Sunday, bringing the coldest temperatures since 2004.

Hackettstown (North Jersey)

- Sunday: Areas of blowing snow and a chance of snow showers before 10 a.m., then areas of blowing snow after 10 a.m.. Partly sunny, with a high near 11. Windy, with a northwest wind 22 to 28 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.
- Sunday night: Mostly clear, with a low around -3.
- Washington’s Birthday: Sunny, with a high near 15.
- Monday night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 2.
Montclair (Northeast New Jersey)
- Sunday: Areas of blowing snow and a chance of snow before 9 a.m., then areas of blowing snow and a slight chance of snow between 9am and noon. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny and cold, with a temperature falling to around 9 by 5 p.m. Windy, with a northwest wind 24 to 28 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30 percent.

Metuchen (Central Jersey)
- Sunday: Areas of blowing snow and a chance of snow showers before 11 a.m., then areas of blowing snow and a slight chance of snow showers after 11 a.m. Partly sunny, with a high near 17. Windy, with a northwest wind 30 to 32 mph, with gusts as high as 55 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Manahawkin (South Jersey)

- Sunday night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 3. Windy.
