Let It Snow, Let it Snow, Let It Snow; Just Not In Our Studio

Livingston New York Sports Club members are hoping for an early Christmas present in the way of some heat in the studio.

In October when the temperatures started falling so did the temperature in the large studio used for several classing including Yoga, Body Pump, and Burn. All the other rooms have been comfortable but something with the heating system is broken in the studio and the temperatures are downright cold.

Some fitness instructors have shown up to class in hats and warm clothes, at least one yoga instructor has quit, and members are taking classes wearing winter coats.

Members are now reporting that they have been told that the part they have been waiting for is to be delivered on Monday the 10th and hopefully installed this week. Members are also hoping that machines with signs reading, “under construction” are soon repaired.

Recently, system wide NYSC raised monthly rates for members, and the Sunday after Thanksgiving members hoping to burn off some calories were left standing in the cold for over an hour and a half upsetting some who took to Twitter to inform NYSC of what transpired. Members were unable to get in until one of the cleaning staff showed up on her day off because she found out no one was there to open the doors.

With a number of new gyms in the area, members are starting to consider other options which could leave New York Sports Club, in the cold.
