LIVINGSTON, NJ — Staying put in Livingston for the 2019 Labor Day holiday? Here’s what’s happening when it comes to township offices, garbage and shuttle service.

TOWN OFFICES

According to the municipal website, Livingston Town Hall and all Township offices will be closed on Monday, September 2 in honor of the Labor Day holiday.

GARBAGE/RECYCLING

There will be no garbage collection on Monday, September 2.

“If your normal garbage collection day is Monday, your garbage will be picked up on the next regularly scheduled day, which is Thursday, September 5,” officials stated.

Recycling will not be collected on Monday, September 2, and collection for all homes in Livingston will move to the next day all week. Monday’s recycling (Zone 1) will instead be picked up on Tuesday, 9/3; Tuesday’s recycling (Zone 2) moves to Wednesday, 9/4; Wednesday’s recycling (Zone 3) moves to Thursday, 9/5; Thursday’s recycling (Zone 4) moves to Friday, 9/6; and Friday’s recycling (Zone 5) will be picked up on Saturday, 9/7.

EXPRESS SHUTTLE

The Livingston Express Shuttle will operate on the Pre-Holiday Schedule (PDF) on Friday, August 30 to correspond with NJ Transit’s “Early Get Away” service, town officials stated.

There will be no Express Shuttle service on Labor Day, Monday, September 2.
