Livingston 2020 Election Results: School Board, Council Winners

LIVINGSTON, NJ — The 2020 election results have been certified in Livingston, and according to the county clerk's office, Vineeta Khanna has emerged victorious in the race for the local board of education.

In the Livingston Town Council race, Alfred Anthony and Michael Vieira ran unopposed, each winning seats, according to Thursday's certified results from the Essex County Clerk's Office.

This year's general election took place mostly by mail-in ballots due to the coronavirus pandemic.

LIVINGSTON SCHOOL BOARD

A total of four candidates competed for a three-year term on the Livingston Board of Education. The candidates were Jenissa Arnette, Vineeta Khanna, Bridgette Nevola and James Calderon.

Here are the certified results, according to the Essex County Clerk’s Office:

• Jenissa Arnette - 3,621
• James Calderon - 2,277
• Vineeta Khanna - 4,401
• Bridgette Nevola - 3,013

LIVINGSTON TOWN COUNCIL

Alfred Anthony and Michael Vieira each ran unopposed for the Democratic nomination in Livingston, where two, four-year seats on the township council were available.

Here are the certified results, according to the Essex County Clerk’s Office:

• Alfred Anthony - 12,250
• Michael Vieira - 12,202
