Livingston Business Awarded for Aiding School Districts

When New Jersey school districts needed financial help to meet federal and state laws, Wiss and Company was there to help.

New Jersey Association of School Business Officials recently awarded the company with the Above and Beyond award for its contributions to area school districts in need, the company announced Monday.

Brian DeLucia, School Business Administrator and Board Secretary for the Dunellen Board of Education, and Derek J. Jess, NJASBO Immediate Past President and School Business Administrator for Perth Amboy Public Schools, nominated the company for the award following a presentation by Wiss that demonstrated how it’s assisted schools.

“The professional care and dedication that Wiss provides helps New Jersey school districts remain financially stable, in compliance with all state and federal laws, and ensures that school funds are being used to the purpose that they are intended for – providing our students with a quality education,” Jess said.

The accounting firm has served the New Jersey-New York metro area since 1969 and provides businesses problem-solving expertise and business advice.
