Livingston Cancels Social Activities, Recycling
Youth services and recycling pickup postponed as storm bears down on North Jersey

All Senior, Youth and Leisure Services and all Livingston Youth & Community Services activities scheduled for Tuesday Jan. 27 has been cancelled.
These activities include Community Kids Preschool, adults and senior enrichment programs, afternoon preschool and youth programs, dance and baton classes, youth sports and open play classes.
Giordarno Co. said that recycling collection scheduled for Tuesday in Zone 2 of Livingston has been postponed until Wednesday Jan. 28 as the weather permits. The company said it will update residents on the schedule.

Clear snow from fire hydrants so they are accessible to emergency services personnel during a storm.
Make sure dryer vents and direct vent furnaces are free of snow buidup in a snow drift. This can lead to carbon monoxide poisioning.
Refrain from using candles as an alternative to light in blackout, and use battery operated flashlights.
If you have a portable generator, don’t run it inside the house, including inside the basement or a garage , to protect from possible carbon monoxide poisoning.
Stay home if you don’t have to be on the roads.
Livingston officials will update residents on storm response via Facebook or through the SwiftReach messaging system.
