Livingston Cops Take On High Schoolers In Softball Game
A Livingston High School coach started a program that helps local cops and young athletes get to know each other better.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A squad of Livingston police officers recently took on the local high school baseball teams in a friendly softball match, part of a LHS coach’s effort to help cops and youth get to know each other better.
The Livingston Police Department shared the following post via social media on Sunday:
“Today Livingston PBA members played softball against the high school baseball teams in a friendly matchup. It was a great day filled with lots of laughs (mostly them laughing at us) and fun. This was part of a program started by LHS coach Mickey Ennis whose goal is to get the players to know the officers in town in a positive way and on a more personal level. Each player is being paired up with an officer. The player will wear that officers badge number on his helmet and each officer will wear that players number on their uniform throughout the season. Now that we are all warmed up which team is next?”
The Livingston PBA Local #263 thanked Ennis for his efforts, as well as LPD Sgt. Ullman for coordinating the endeavor.
