Livingston: Go Red for Heart Health

The Livingston Health Department will host its annual event on February 7 at Livingston Town Hall.

The Livingston Health Department will host its annual Go Red for Heart Health event on Friday, February 7, 2020 in recognition of American Heart Month in February. From 10 am to 12 pm, Livingston residents are welcome to stop by the Town Hall lobby for free screenings, information, and giveaways.

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death in the United States, and February is designated as American Heart Month. The first Friday of February is National Wear Red Day — a designated day to raise awareness about heart disease in women and to encourage women to make lifestyle changes that will help reduce their risk of heart disease.

Since National Wear Red Day began in 2003, the event has educated and encouraged women to make at least one change for their heart health.
