Livingston High School Artist Earns Merit Award From AANJ

Livingston High School senior Rachel Kogut's digital illustration, "Trapped," was one of four chosen to receive a Merit Award.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A Livingston High School student’s intriguing digital artwork earned a Merit Award at the recent Art Administrators of New Jersey’s (AANJ) Emerging Artists Exhibit.

According to Livingston public school officials, Livingston High School senior Rachel Kogut’s digital illustration, “Trapped,” was one of four chosen to receive a Merit Award. Her work was on display at the James Howe Gallery at Kean University in Union last month.

As a Merit Award winner, Kogut will be eligible to submit an expanded portfolio for consideration as the AANJ Emerging Artists Achievement Award winner and recognition at the annual Governor’s Awards in Arts Education, school officials said.
