Livingston High Theater Takes On 'Alice In Wonderland'

"From the moment Alice arrives in Wonderland the backwards ways of its inhabitants confuse and delight her."

LIVINGSTON, NJ - Livingston High School Theatre will present “Alice in Wonderland,” a play adapted from Lewis Carroll's classic novel. This fun and magical tale will have performances in the high school auditorium at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 1 to Saturday, Dec. 3.

Directed by English teacher Meghan Reid, Livingston’s production remains true to Carroll’s words written 150 years ago. “From eccentric characters to fantastic settings, ‘Alice and Wonderland’ is an epic journey from start to finish,” she said.

The show’s set designers and technical team have built a magical world for Alice’s adventures down the rabbit hole. The story has been adapted by Eva Le Gallienne and Florida Friebus and features a ridiculous tea party and rousing game of croquet, along with the iconic characters, Chesire Cat, Mad Hatter and Queen of Hearts.

The cast includes: Jared Kirsch, Sean Risch, Ben Asher, Bailey Grey, Kyle Cao, Vincent DeMeo, Sammi Kahn, Tyler Bernstein, Sara Guilanti, Julia Gaudioso, Ashley Sanders, Ryan Gavi, Josh Meyers, Jackson Rynar, Sylvia Ferreira, Noah Rochman, Ally Beetle, Cassie Hui, Jillian Skara, Gabriella DeFilippo, Ryan Grossbard, Priyal Patel, Theo Offerman, Joe Lanigan, Mark Lanigan, Alex King, Sean Mollineux, Erin Eagen, Jenna Foley, and Grace Song.

Joining Reid are Brian Megaro, technical director; Kaitlin Reid, choreographer; Samantha Indyke, stage manager; Lucienne Gesualdo, production manager; Leah Dollinger and Nicholas Sheehan, technical managers; Stacey Aneson, costumes; and Amedeo Ciminnisi, sound and lighting manager.

“As a first time director, I wanted to choose a play that would really highlight all that the LHS Theatre Program has to offer,” said Reid, crediting the actors,stage crafters, costume designers, and sound and light technicians who shine both on and off the stage.
