Livingston Installs Free Electric Vehicle Stations At Town Hall
The township will provide and maintain electric power to the stations, which were purchased with grant funding, Livingston officials said.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Three electric vehicle charging stations have been installed in the Livingston Town Hall parking lot and are now available for residents with electric or hybrid vehicles to use for free, municipal officials announced last week.
According to a news release, the township was approved for grant funding for the installation this past October. The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) and national Electrify America program covered the entire cost of purchasing and installing the charging stations. The township will provide and maintain the supply of electric power to them.
The three Dual Port Level 2 charging stations were installed and will be maintained by EVConnect, the NJDEP’s approved contractor for the program. The charging stations are Open Charge Point Protocol (OCPP) certified, UL Compliant and ETL certified. They offer 18 ft. cables with ADA-compliant cable retractor and 7.2kW power per port, Livingston town officials stated.
