Livingston 4th Of July Fireworks: 2019 Car Show, Carnival

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Find out where to see some nearby fireworks for Independence Day 2019 if you live in Livingston. Patch will update this article if more events/info becomes available.

Livingston will hold its 83rd annual Independence Day celebration on Thursday, July 4, 2019. All events will be held on or near Memorial Oval on Robert Harp Drive. Accessible restrooms will be available in Livingston High School during daytime events. General parking will be available in the St. Philomena’s Church lot.

The Livingston fireworks display begins at 9:15 p.m. Participants can bring lawn chairs or spread out a blanket to enjoy the show. In case of inclement weather, a decision on the fireworks will be made by 2 p.m. The rain date is July 5 at 9:15 p.m.

Festivities will include the "largest July 4th car show in New Jersey" from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Livingston High School parking lot, 30 Robert Harp Drive. (Learn more here)

  • Family fun beginning at 9 am with the Classic Car Show & Kiwanis Swim Karnival
  • All-day family and kids' activities, including Powerhouse Studios Wacky Sports, ice cream eating contest, bouncy rides and games, and free pony rides
  • From 3:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., stop by this year’s Bands, Beer, & Wine Café featuring live bands (must be 21 with ID to purchase)
  • Main Stage Entertainment at 7:45 p.m. - Wanted DOA (Bon Jovi Tribute Band)

OTHER ESSEX COUNTY FIREWORKS

As part of its 2018 Essex County Free Summer Music Concert Series, the county will host three concert/fireworks spectaculars at Branch Brook Park, Weequahic Park and Brookdale Park. (Learn more here)

  • Friday, June 28 at Branch Brook Park, Heller Parkway, Newark - New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and Fireworks Spectacular, 7:30 p.m.
  • Monday, July 1 at Weequahic Park, Newark – Total Soul, 7:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, July 3 at Brookdale Park, Bloomfield/Montclair - New Power Soul, 7:30 p.m.
