Longtime Livingston resident Clarice Judith Colton Flexner passed away on Aug. 9.
She was 92-years-old.

“Clarice Judith Colton Flexner passed away peacefully on August 9, 2015 in Wilmington, North Carolina at the age of 92. She previously lived in Livingston, New Jersey, for almost 60 years.
“Clarice is survived by her only son and daughter-in-law, Richard and Jenine Flexner, of Oak Island, North Carolina; her adored grandchildren Reece of Washington, D.C., Lane of Asheville, North Carolina, and Jillian of New York City, New York; her dear sister-in-law Marilyn Colton of Rockaway, New Jersey; her nephew Marc Colton of White Meadow Lake, New Jersey; and her niece Hillary Colton of Three Bridges, New Jersey

“She was preceded in death by her beloved family members: Husband, Irving; Parents Isadore and Gertrude Colton; Brother Malcolm Colton; and her treasured friend Jeanne Caplan.
“Clarice was a life-long member of Temple Emanu-El in Livingston, New Jersey, where she served as housing chairperson for many years. She was active in the Kidney Research Foundation of New Jersey, having been one of the founding members of its Ruth Papier Chapter. She loved needlework and crafts, producing needlepoint works of art, beautiful crocheted sweaters and blankets, and magnificent beaded flower arrangements for her friends and family.
“She loved her family dearly, and will be greatly missed.
“A private funeral service for the family will be conducted by Bernheim, Apter, Kreitzman Suburban Funeral Chapel in Short Hills, New Jersey, and she will be interred at Beth Israel Cemetery in Woodbridge, New Jersey.
“Please make any memorial gifts in Clarice’s name to The Kidney Research Foundation of New Jersey.”
