Livingston Officials: CDC Isn’t Going Door-To-Door
Livingston isn't the only town in Essex County to issue a warning to residents about fake visits from the "CDC," officials say.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Another Essex County town is warning residents to be careful of potential scammers preying on the fears surrounding the new coronavirus known as COVID-19.
On Friday, Livingston Township officials issued an advisory, warning residents that the CDC is not deploying personnel to make door-to-door visits.
“If approached by someone claiming to be from the CDC at your residence, do not allow entry or provide any info and call 911,” Livingston officials said.

It’s similar to a Tuesday warning from the Nutley Police Department, which cautioned local residents to be aware of a "safety issue" involving alleged door-to-door visits from people claiming to be from the CDC.
