Livingston Road Closed Due To ‘Transformer Problem’: Officials
All traffic on South Livingston Avenue between Belmont and Cedar Streets was closed.

LIVINGSTON, NJ — All traffic on South Livingston Avenue between Belmont and Cedar Streets in Livingston was closed on Thursday afternoon due to an “electrical transformer problem,” town officials said.
Livingston municipal officials released the following statement about the emergency road closure at 2:46 p.m.:
“Livingston Police Department and Department of Public Works are both on scene; however, no action can be taken until PSE&G can cut power to the affected area. PSE&G has been advised and will respond as soon as possible.”
“At this time, we have no estimate of when the road will reopen to traffic,” Livingston officials stated. “Please plan an alternate route.”
