Livingston Teen Starts Online Bakery, Makes Donation To Cops
Mackenze Glassman of Livingston: "Two of my favorite things are math and baking, so I thought why not bring them together?"

LIVINGSTON, NJ — A Livingston teen who started her own online bakery recently earned a thank-you from her local police department.
Police in Livingston offered Mackenze Glassman and her mother a shout-out on social media after they brought the department dinner earlier this week. The delivery included some of her own baked goods, which she sells over the internet.
Every month, Glassman makes a donation to a different charity or local organization using some of the profits.

“Hi! I wanted to share my inspiration behind staring Sweets by MG. I have always been fascinated with running and managing a business, so I decided to start one. In college, I am intending to major n dimness and this experience will help me through my next few years of high school. Two of my favorite things are math and baking, so I thought why not bring them together to provide sweet treats for all my family and friends, while also helping out others in need. I have held many tastings, and spent many hours perfecting and creating cookies and other sweet treats I am excited to share with you all. When sitting down making the recipes, I knew I had to keep in mind of family members and friends, including myself, with allergies. I have made sure to make al cookies dairy and nut-free, so everyone can enjoy them. In addition to gaining experience through running my business and taking business classes in high school, I'm always trying to find some way to give bath to the community. Every month I will choose a new charity to donate a portion of all profits made. I have chosen charities that mean a lot to me so I am able to donate from your orders to help those in need while also sharing sweets with all of you.”
