LIVINGSTON, NJ — Summer is just around the corner, and you may be planning now to find activities to keep the kids busy — and cool. An obvious summer favorite pastime is spending those hot afternoons at the local pool.

The state recently issued guidance for pools to follow, so they can safely operate during the coronavirus pandemic.

  • Livingston Township pools - According to the municipal website, Mervyn V.T. Haines Pool will officially open for weekends Memorial Day, May 29, 30 and 31, following COVID-19 guidelines in place at the time. Northland Pool will remain closed to the public. If there is a surge in membership that supports opening the second pool location, Northland will be opened to the public.
  • Goldfish Swim School - Offers private classes, swim lessons, private parties and more; located at 277 Eisenhower Parkway.
