Sears At Livingston Mall Is Closing, Liquidation Sale Planned

"After careful review, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to close the Sears stores in Livingston and New Brunswick."

LIVINGSTON, NJ — Sears will be closing its stores at the Livingston Mall and in New Brunswick on Route 1, a company spokesperson confirmed Thursday.

The two stores are scheduled to close around the middle of April. Liquidation sales will begin this week.

“After careful review, we have made the difficult but necessary decision to close the Sears stores in Livingston and New Brunswick,” the spokesperson said. “We encourage customers to continue shopping on Sears.com for all their product needs.”

The spokesperson declined to comment about the reason for the closures or what will happen to the employees at the two locations.

The Sears location occupies its own wing and has its own entrance at the Livingston Mall, which is located at 112 Eisenhower Parkway.
