Sukkot…Time to Shake the Lulav in the TBA Sukkah!
The students of The Early School of Temple B'nai celebrated Sukkot by fulfilling the Mitzvah of shaking the lulav and etrog in the Sukkah.
Season of our Rejoicing! The students of The Early School of Temple B'nai celebrated Sukkot, the Feast of Booths —the time of year called the season of our joy, z'man simchatenu —by fulfilling the Mitzvah of shaking the lulav (palm, myrtle and willow)) together with the Etrog ( a citron) in the Sukkah. They also enjoyed making decoration for the Sukkah and learned about the significance of this autumnal harvest holiday. The word "Sukkot" means "booths." Historically, Sukkot commemorates the forty-year period during which the children of Israel were wandering in the desert and lived in temporary dwellings (Sukkahs).
