Sunday Morning Blues

New York Sports Club members looking to burn off holiday weekend calories are left in the cold for over an hour and a half.

Looking to burn off some of their Thanksgiving weekend calories, Livingston New York Sports Club members are left in the cold for over and hour and a half when no one shows up to let them in.

Sunday morning members began to arrive for the 7am opening of the front doors only to find the doors were still locked and no workers were around to open up. By the time one of the cleaning staff arrived for work at 8:40am, the tweets were posted, fed up members had already left, and the 8:30 class was clearly not going to start on time, if at all. Craig on Twitter wrote, "@NYSC your Livingston NJ site opened up 1:40 late this am! #csx #pissed."

In the past couple of years, there have been at least 5 times on a weekend where the gym had not been opened on time leaving their faithful and fit, early rising, and now annoyed customers standing around. New York Sports Club only has one person opening up on the weekends, but if for some reason that person doesn’t make it; is there no backup plan?

Many people wake up early and get to the Sports Club to warm up for classes, swim, work out, and simply start their day on a healthy note. Routines get thrown off when these kinds of instances happen.

Just this month NYSC upped their monthly dues for all members system wide. Livingston members deserve better service and there needs to be a way to ensure these sporadic occurrences don’t happen again.
