Barnegat Native Places First At Wrestling Invite
Olympian and All-American Frank Molinaro earned first in the 70 kg bracket Dave Schultz Memorial.
Barnegat native and Southern Regional alumnus Frank Molinaro placed first in the 70-kg. grouping Saturday at the Dave Schultz Memorial Invitational. The Olympian and NCAA national champion defeated Brandon Sorensen, 3-1, in the final, according to USA Wrestling.
Molinaro won the state championship three times at Southern Regional High School, according to his Penn State bio. He captured the NCAA Championship with the Nittany Lions in 2012 and finished fifth at 65 kg. in the 2016 Olympics.
