Choppy Surf, Moderate Rip Current Risk For Monmouth Beaches Today
Waves today will be from 3 to 5 feet high, National Weather Service says

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ - There's a moderate rip current risk and some rough surf ahead for swimmers at Monmouth County beaches today.
So make sure you always swim on a guarded beach and check with local beach patrols for any problem areas. Never swim on an unguarded beach and never swim alone or at night. Too many people have already died on ocean beaches this summer. Don't add your name to the list. Always have a flotation device with you in the water.
Halfway through the summer season, the Beach Haven Beach Patrol in Ocean County has already made 300 rescues, primarily due to the large number of rip currents, according to the patrol's Facebook page.
