LONG BRANCH – Congressman Frank Pallone (D-NJ) announced that nearly $210 million in emergency funding would go to colleges and universities in his district under the American Rescue Plan.
The funding will help these local institutions handle the financial situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and students who are facing hunger, homelessness, and other hardship due to the pandemic.
The American Rescue Plan, which was passed back in March, provides $36 billion for nearly 3,500 public, private and nonprofit colleges, and universities in the U.S.
