Free COVID Testing In Long Branch Saturday

Residents should note the clinic has 100 tests and once those are administered, the clinic will close for the day.

LONG BRANCH, NJ — Monmouth County will offer free COVID-19 testing for Monmouth County residents on Saturday, Nov. 14, from 9 a.m. to noon at the Bucky James Community Center 231 Wilbur Ray Avenue in Long Branch.

Residents should note the clinic has 100 tests and once those are administered, the clinic will close for the day.

However, starting Tuesday, Nov. 17, Monmouth County is increasing the number of tests at each test site from 100 to 150.

The testing dates for the upcoming week are as follows:

  • Tuesday, Nov. 17 in Red Bank from 4 to 7 p.m., Pilgrim Baptist Church, 172 Shrewsbury Ave.
  • Wednesday, Nov. 18 in Asbury Park from 4 to 7 p.m., Asbury Park Transportation Center, 1 Municipal Plaza
  • Thursday, Nov. 19 in Keansburg from 9 a.m. to noon, New Point Comfort Firehouse, 192 Carr Ave.
  • Saturday, Nov. 21 in Freehold from 9 a.m. to noon, Freehold Borough Fire Department (Main Building), 49 W. Main St.

On Friday, Nov. 13 there were 195 new positive cases of COVID-19 in Monmouth County, and three new deaths. 250 new cases were reported Thursday. Compare that to July and August, when about 20 new cases were being reported every day.

Residents with general questions or concerns about the COVID-19 are able to contact the Monmouth County Health Department phone bank by calling 732-845-2070 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

“My fellow Freeholders and I realize the importance of increased testing in order to mitigate the spread of COVID-19,” said Freeholder Director Tom Arnone. “It is also important to remember to do our part to protect our family, friends and community by practicing social distancing, wearing a face covering, washing our hands and staying home when sick.”
