CVS said on its website they are offering Johnson & Johnson's single-shot vaccine, which just started being delivered to New Jersey this week after it got emergency FDA approval last Friday. However, CVS spokeswoman Tara Burke told NJ.com that if you book an appointment, you will get either the Moderna or Johnson & Johnson shot, depending on availability. Most pharmacies in the U.S. only carry one type of vaccine.
Friday's news is an expansion: In early February, only 27 CVS pharmacies across New Jersey had the vaccine.
