Long Branch H.E.A.R.S To Hold First Event On June 13

The citizen group looks to help with the problem of substance abuse in the city of Long Branch.

LONG BRANCH, NJ – Long Branch H.E.A.R.S will be holding its first-ever event, Thriving Out Loud – Celebrating Recovery, Resiliency and Creating Community in a Covid-19 World, on Sunday, June 13 from 12 to 5 p.m. at the Great Lawn in Long Branch.

Long Branch H.E.A.R.S. (Health, Education, Addiction and Recovery Support) is a city-backed group of concerned citizens who want to address addiction issues in Long Branch and build a bridge between resources and residents impacted by substance use. Long Branch H.E.A.R.S. also looks to provide awareness and education and reduce stigma.

The free, family-friendly event will feature free gifts, entertainment, information booths from several local treatments and recovery organizations, elected officials, and speakers sharing their stories of addiction and recovery.
