Monmouth County Fair Dates Announced

39th Annual celebration coming to the East Freehold Showgrounds in July

 

The 39th annual Monmouth County Fair is scheduled this year to run from July 24-28 at the East Freehold Showgrounds, officials have announced.

  • Wednesday, July 24 – 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Thursday, July 25 – 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Friday, July 26 – 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Saturday, July 27 – 5 p.m. to 11 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 28 –  11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

General admission is $7 per person. Children 12 and under are admitted free. 

Wristbands allowing unlimited rides on this year’s all new midway thrill rides will be available for $20 on July 24, 25 and 28. Ride tickets will be available daily, according to a release.

 “We’ve been busy planning an unforgettable Fair featuring the unforgettable Hell on Wheels BMX Stunt Show, the E3 Skateboarding Stunt Show, the Fere Thrill Show, Paragon Jousting, Bwana Jim’s Wildlife Show and on Saturday the Kountry K-9 show,” said fair chairwoman Patti Conroy. “People looking for their favorites won’t be disappointed either. There’ll be fireworks, pie-eating contests, pig races, a home and garden competition, 4-H displays and performances, an antique auto show, a pinewood derby, and much more.”

Entertainment highlights include performances by the Screaming Broccolli on Wednesday night; Brian Kirk and the Jirks on Thursday night; the Amish Outlaws on Friday night; a game show Name that Tune and Daddypop on Saturday night; and a children’s magic show and the 1910 Fruitgum Company on Sunday, the release says.
